Cartoon [realia]. 1921

Original political cartoon is drawn in black ink on paper. The cartoon is entitled "A VOICE FROM A HOUSE IN MARION" and it dates from March 3, 1921. The cartoon depicts Warren Harding in a suit standing in front of a stairwell with objects identified as "DRIFLY DOPE" and "FISHING TACKLE" laying on the floor. A voice from the attic says "WARREN HARDING, I AM NOT / GOING TO CART ALL THIS JUNK / TO THE WHITE HOUSE! EITHER GIVE / IT AWAY OR BURN IT! AND HERE'S / A WHOLE BALE OF FISHING MAGAZINES / UP HERE THAT YOU'LL NEVER LOOK AT / AGAIN AND A DOZEN BOTTLES OF / MOSQUITO DOPE!" The inscription in the bottom right corner reads "To The Marion Club / With The Compliments of -- WEBSTER." A paper tag glued to the bottom of the image reads "Copyright, 1921, H. T. Webster."
